Great School’s Parenting Cue Cards
Great Schools (a US-based non-profit organization) in collaboration with Yale Center for Emotional Intelligence has developed a set of online “cue-cards” to help parents deal with challenging situations in ways that promote children’s social and emotional skills. Categorized into Positive Discipline, Dishonesty, Time & Organization, Attitude & Defiance, Motivation, Screen Time, Homework, Siblings, Peer Pressure and Risky Behaviour, each situation comes with do’s and don’ts for parents, as well as relevant research evidence to support these recommendations.
This could be a good resource for educators to recommend to parents seeking help and support with student’s social and emotional development at home.
